Staff Accountant Professional

We are located in Westerville, Ohio, a northern suburb of Columbus, and we are looking for our next team member to help us continue our growth.  

This position will be a primary Accountant responsible for posting and maintaining client general ledger accounting records and problem solving for appropriate bookkeeping issues. In addition, you will assist in the preparation and review of individual and business tax return compliance, tax planning, and financial statement preparation.

You should consider our position if you have:

  • 4-8 years Public Accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and experience preparing GAAP and OCBOA financial statements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects
  • High proficiency in QuickBooks® and professional tax software (UltraTax preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
  • Bonus skills… Networking and client development and team/staff management experience

In this critical role you will:

  • Prepare adjusting entries and post activity to client’s accounting records
  • Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts to produce financial statements
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and research skills to determine conclusions and recommendations
  • Effectively multitask multiple client engagements, prioritize tasks and be a great team player
  • Independently manage your workload once you are trained in our processes
  • Prepare and review individual, business and partnership tax planning and financial statement preparation (compilation and preparation - no audits)
  • Develop the ability to identify and propose resolutions to income tax issues
  • Assist in developing and sustaining strong client relationships for our firm
